S25 Ultra - AR Search not working with SmartTag2

Yesterday I switched from a Galaxy S21 FE to the S25 Ultra and while testing the devices and apps I'm transferring to it, I realized - the Galaxy SmartTag2's AR/camera finding does not work.

I tried both SmartThings and the Find apps - both locate the tag, allow me to use "Search Nearby" and point at it, but neither shows the button to use the camera to locate it (the phone DOES show however that the camera permission is being used with the green indicator icon in the upper-right).

I DO have the UWB enabled in the Connections settings menu on the phone.

The phone is on OneUI 7.0 security patch level 1 December 2024 (no updates found), the SmartTag2 is on firmware 0.20.04 (no updates found).

Any ideas what might be going on?

Any recommendation how to actually reach their support? I can't find any page where I can submit a support ticket or email them, they only have a phone line and a map where I can go to a service center (which is basically, their actual physical store, so 0 help will be had there with this).

In the Members app under the support tab, you can lodge error reports, etc.

Hi there, here are the steps to send an error report:

  1. Open the Samsung Members app > tap on Get help at the bottom of the page > scroll down to Error reports > tap OK on agreement popup for sending system log data > select (symptom category).
  2. In this section, describe the details of your AR Search issue and the frequency of it.
  3. You can also attach any images, videos or screen recordings through the paperclip image in the top right corner
  4. Send your error report through

Hope this helps :)
