Samsung Galaxy S23 FE heats up when video calling using messenger app

I acquired a Samsung Galaxy S23 FE this August 2024, but it heats up when video calling using messenger app in floating screen mode and is preventing me from using the floating screen if it reached its limit. With this essential functionality, my old phone 4 years old Oppo A92 can do this without a problem for many hours enabling me to multi task, video calling and launching other apps like Facebook, YouTube etc. With this issue, my old phone performs very well. I hope Samsung will fix this issue.

i think it's pretty normal phone getting heat up when doing video call, you can do video call with laptop or something too

Yes, indeed, it is normal for the phone to heat up. but disabling a feature that you can do using a low specs smartphone is something else. My old Oppo A92 also heats up when doing video calls but never experienced losing the floating screen or multi window feature. In my perspective, it is not about keeping the old phone if it performs better. It is about improving the device and the user experience. and I hope Samsung will address the heat issue. 😊😊😊

If your device is heating up, you can quickly optimize its performance using the Optimize Now feature in Battery and Device Care. 

Here’s how to do it:

To Optimize Your Device

1. Open the Settings menu.
2. Tap Battery and device care.
3. Tap Optimize now.
4. Once the process is complete, tap Done

Hello, thank you for the reply. I already did that. I even tried the Light Performance mode. somehow, it helps, but not for long term. so, for now, since, multitasking is limited in my S23 FE, I am stuck with messenger video calling only 😓
