Samsung S20 Ultra screen problem after updating to One Ui 4

I got software update notification for One UI 4.0 and Android 12. After update, my phone screen shows white screen with flicker like broken tube tv, making the phone totally not usable. Power off also not possible.

  • I tried restart, no different. Samsung needs to fix this ASAP. I'm super disappointed such expensive phone is ruined by a software update. If this is not fixed, i will never buy samsung phone and i will tell everyone i know the same. This really **bleep**.

This may actually be a really big problem. If the screen is not working.. you won't be able to update the phone when Samsung releases a patch update right?

Hi Avinash,

I have the same problem with other users right after the software update. Hence, I do not think booking an appointment at service centre helps, unless there's a solution to this. If that's the case, perhaps you could just share the solution here / online?

This is not hardware issue as I personally did not drop my phone and there's no physical damage.

Hope to hear from Samsung regarding this.

Same problem after i update to latest version. Can you help me please my model is s20 ultra sm-g988n. I bought it in korea. But im in the Philippines right now. What should i do to fix this LCD problem

20220201_223838.jpgThis is what I got after updating to One UI 4. Screen totally not usable the entire time, you do not know what to press. Something totally messed up with the graphic driver or something related to that, samsung must check this with critical priority. It was all good and fine before upgrade. Please advise here, that will save my time. Thanks.

I have exactly the same problem. Shutting down / restarting the phone don't help either.

I can use it 70% of the time without this issue, but when it happens, it takes more than 1 hour for it to turn back to normal again.

I have exact sKe issue with my S20 Ultra. Do we need to downgrade the OS. How can one run a factory reset on the device if it's not even useable?
