*UPDATE: Went to Samsung Service Centre earlier. And expected, was told by the staff that they will do a software run for one hour and will do a complete reset on my phone. All my data gone again. Had to spend half a day to reinstall and restore whatever data that i could. Totally didnt help at all. They just find an easy way out to factory reset the phone instead of trying to save the data for the customers. Didn't even explain why too.

---‐----------------------------------------

Hi, I was prompted to update the new software for my S21 ultra and I did. After downloading the software, the phone restarts and started installing (with the Android guy appearing). However, the installation stopped at 25% and my phone suddenly my phone keep on rebooting in a loop. Tried pressing the volume down and power button to force restart but the phone just keeps on rebooting over and over again. Even tried pressing the volume up and power button to enter Recovery Mode but to no avail as the phone keeps on restarting on its on no matter what. And I cannot switch off the phone at all.

If I had to go to the Service Centre to get it fixed, I am sure they would do a factory reset for me. Last November, I already went to the Service Centre to get my phone to factory reset and I lost all my files due to the phone was stuck in an Android screen during an update. All they did is factory reset my phone and told me it was a software issue. Now the same thing again happened to me again. And this time, I do not wish for my files and data to be lost again all just because of the software issue, which is not even our fault.

Anyone else encountered the same issue now? Please help.

Did you have enough power in the phone when you were working on the rebooting?

Yes. It was at 45% when the thing happened. I even tried to connect it to the charger and it is still the same. So I end up let it restart on its one until the battery died.

Hello Members_s29IIHj. I am Avinash, from Samsung.

We're sorry for the experience. If you have backup the data through Google or Samsung Account, you may restore the data. However, please take note that the data restored will be based on the last data back up.

Hence, may we invite you to book an appointment at our service centre - https://www.samsung.com/sg/support/where-to-find-samsung-service-centre-in-singapore/ where our service engineer will assess your device and advise you accordingly?

Thank You.

From my recent update, i had already went to the service centre to get the phone restart in a factory mode already. When I asked them, its a standard answer of software issues. The first time i went to get my phone fixed was also given the same answer. The staffs themselves could not specifically answer me whats wrong with my phone. Even if i were to go the service centre again, i would definitely expect the same answer of "due to the software issue." So whats the point of going back again when the staffs could not even find the exact issue.
