SMS not received by sim not used for mobile data

Hi,

I am experiencing the same issue with both my S21 plus and S24 plus. 

If I am using sim 2 for data, for some reason, I am not receiving sms messages on my sim 1. Then, when I am using sim 1 for my data, I am not receiving sms messages on my sim 2. 

For reference, on both my phones, I am using a 1 Globe and 1 Smart sim card. I mainly use my Smart for data, and my Globe for calls and texts. So I am essentially experiencing the same issue on different S phones, with different set of sim card. 

There are instances when I will only start receiving messages on my Globe sim card when I switch to it for my mobile data. This is really inconvenient since I need to be able to access my messages on both my internet-based messaging apps, and my offline messaging apps at the same time. 

Hoping someone can teach me on how to resolve this issue. Thanks!

I'm not sure about the restriction yesterday but this has been my issue foe years now. First with my S21 plus (which has been my phone for the past 3 yrs), and now with my S24 plus, so I feel like maybe this is a setting issue that I dont know how to configure...

try to duplicate the apn and set the new created as default

Hi Gieee13!

For dual SIM issues, try:

Check SIM Configuration: Ensure SMS settings are set correctly for both SIMs.

Update Software: Check for any available updates for your phones.

Clear Cache: Clear the cache of your messaging app in Settings > Apps > Messages > Storage.

If the problem continues, contacting your network provider might help or visiting a service center near you for further assistance.

Hi, can you give me more details on what the correct SMS settings should be for the the SIMs? Where do I check it?

Software is currently up to date so I dont think this is the issue.

I've also tried clearing the cache before but the problem still persists.

if you are on gkobe sim since jul 24 they have call/data issue, nagawaclabg nung inayos taga globe
