Galaxy S
Dear Samsung team,
Humbly requesting to enable feature of apps locks and apps hiding similar to Xiaomi's hyperps will be very beneficial for longtime users of Galaxy S series like me. Kindly understand that this recommendation is not about installing apps in Secure Folder.
Hope you will roll out this soon as possible. Thank you.

hide app icons in both home and app list altogether this?
also what do you mean by "app lock"? password based lock? The solution is obviously Secure Folder for Samsung.
If you're sharing phone with kids/your children, you can use the Kids mode to allow only certain apps accessible by them. Logically, you can set to Kids mode when someone else want to use your phone to avoid prying eyes.

Clearly OP said not Secure Folder. It's just per-app app lock implementation... also like iOS's app lock & hidden apps which can be unlocked using FaceID/TouchID.

You didn't address the OP's clear intention with an actual app lock solution, and obviously we're all aware of secure folder's existence (which i do use myself). if anything you're the one deflecting the OP's point and somehow im the one with lack of reading comprehension. yay i guess.

what deflection? that's the solution given by samsung. if you want to use xiaomi's solution, use a Xiaomi phone. there's no deflect. just telling as it is. 😊

it never hurt for someone to request and maybe give some feedback dont it? after all this what the whole entire app is for. but truthfully i understand your point, totally.
and to OP I'd say basic app locking (not secure folder) is such a basic feature that samsung has never done and that's quite a disappointment and i understand ur frustration and maybe something samsung can "copy" from other brands perhaps.
