This is the main point as you know the story about S20 series. So is really up to the user to decide. Lol.
Good thing is Samsung is giving free screen replacement for S20 series with limited stock now before 2022 end. But if later they say the other way round then it will be another issue (like, your phone is not eligible to get the free screen replacement due...). So is really a gambling to me.
To be secure, before the update arrive, maybe you can try ask Samsung support team. Like screen replacement terms, how long needed, etc.
