VERTICAL LINES AFTER UPDATE

Bought Samsung galaxy s21 ultra in May 2021, been using this phone carefully ever since. 

Recently updated the firmware on 20 Mar 2024, and after that, a pink line appeared right in the middle of the screen.

Talked with the representative on 24 Mar 2024 in Plaza Singapore around 11am , and it would costs me around S$400 plus to fix the screen. Told the representative that this only happened after the update, and I never drop the phone before that. 

Representative informed that the pink line might be there before the update, and it might become thicker after the update. The representarive keep insisting that there is nothing they can do. Feel that it is just unfair to the consumer as if i knew this would happened after the update, I would rather not to update. 

Anyway, just a less than 3 years not-so-great experience for me with Samsung, not going to choose Samsung anymore.

Yes, had 2 samusing phones and had this green line encounter. I thot it cld be my mishandling, so i am gg to give it a 3rd try. Will go for apple if it happens to my 3rd phone

Had the same problem after the update, Samsung will just charge and say it's hardware issue, I use it for less than 2 years

Its viral every samsung phone updated their latest updates got lines appear across the screen..
First was 1 green line
Then pink line appear then another green line
If its not update tell it to all hundreds of people having this problem in sg...

Wow wow wow. I encountered the same problem with S21#. Bought it sometime around October 2021. Always used with care. Then came this year March 2024, received the software updates message. Once click, done, die, die .............. one faint pink line and one faint green line appeared on the screen; 2 weeks later, one new solid pink line appeared, just like the one that victim 'driftingaround' shows. I was not aware the 'samsung software update will die' syndrome. Only later when friends & colleagues saw the irritating pink line, some shared that the same issues happened to their samsung phones after software update. They shared that gradually more lines will appear till it blackout, takes around 4 months to become a ***.  Early May, already 2 solid pink lines appeared on the screen ! So disappointed. 

Samsung, are you willing to do better? Admit the problem. Do justice. Replace our phones or replace the screen display.

I have my Samsung S21 and the same thing is happening to me. Except I have white lines and it's now 7 of them. It's super annoying and they're not accepting that it's their software update!!!

Just updated my phone and got the same exact pink line on the same exact location on the screen

Mine also after update the green line appear in May 24. My Flip 3 was good and no issue at all before the update. So sad... why an update make my phone screen got green line🥲

It is so obvious that the "system updates" cause this it is not even funny. We should place a class act lawsuit on this company for selling garbage they "update" to stop working.
