Any ideas what Samsung does with the trade-in units? They're offering some pretty good deals with old units even those with issues.

Are they recycling the parts? Because the sometimes the price with vouchers become so low that I am not sure if Samsung can make a profit off of it.

Would be curious as well if they have a store which sells those trade-in units at a fairly discounted price.

As far as I know, the S25 series is using recycled materials from previously used galaxy smartphones.

I do hope it's not the used chips 😅 They removed the free Samsung Care Plus after offering those free for a year before.

Honestly, I'm just glad it's there so I can upgrade when I feel like it. I felt bad when they didn't support my zip code for the TV trade-in. I've a couple of old Sammy TVs I'd like upgraded and disposed off.

Yeah definitely agree that it's there. Was just wondering from the business point if view what is the benefit of it and why other smartphone companies aren't copying it.

They recycle it, esp the precious raw materials in it.

In USA they are selling it as refurbished at a lower price than srp. In PH, my wild guess is...its going to greenhills shopping mall.. 😃 😄 😁
