What if Samsung S24 phones also will have green/pink line issues after warranty?

Due to green line problem which I encountered after Samsung software updates in July 2024, since my phone S22+ although less than 2 years old (and thus no longer under warranty), I am in a way forced to buy a new replacement phone earlier than my intended timing (initially I thought of upgrade to Samsung S24+ in Jan 2025). Since S24+ price is about the similar price range as my S22+, and probably only safe for user to perform upgrades only during the 1 year warranty period, I am concerned of the possible high risk of the same problem again if I buy Samsung S24+ when getting a new replacement phone. Thus I think I better think twice to avoid such unpleasant experience again.

That's a good idea. I see most people with this issue are on the Note or S series not too much on the A series. I too have a galaxy A05s with no issues thus far thank god.

I am not sure what type of processor was my S22+ using. But I heard from a staff from phone repair shop commented that it seems that the green or pink lines problem happened more on phones with curved screen in comparison to flat screen.

Untrue as my phone isn't the curved display. Seems to do more with heat issues that causes the battery and the screen cables to either spoil or come loose.

Update:
Samsung offered me a fix for an LCD replacement that'll have a 30 day warranty only on the LCD with a cost charge of the technician fee of $54.50. They mentioned that if the technician had found any other defects, those charges would be separate. My phone is in Pristine condition so it's okay. I took up the offer as of now.

Glad that you managed to get the offer that would help you saves a higher portion of the high cost of screen replacement. But after the replacement I think it's better to avoid software updates in the near future or turn off the auto-updates.

After replacement I'll prolly sell it off as same as your situation I too didn't have a spare and bought the S23 FE as I too am going overseas. Haiz

Hopefully Samsung will improve in their product & service quality after all these unpleasant experiences by the affected users.

My friend that's in dubai got a one for one exchange when he reported this issue for his S23 Ultra even though it was out of warranty. So I guess each country has a different type of service quality and way of handling. Samsung Singapore still always needs to charge in one way or another.

So much difference in their approach on managing their customer service quality here...
