Not exactly - any device that uses an AMOLED screen is prone to this. This includes iPhones, Pixels, Nothing, etc. The green line is usually caused by damage to the screen itself, be it a faulty data ribbon or a tiny crack on the screen. There has been no evidence about software updates causing the green line.

In other country like india and Vietnam they had the same issue...Why dont you do research? Im a Avid fan of Samsung....why sansung company cannot fix this problem on ur phone...i buy my phone, to much expensive after a year the issue comes out?
Yes..Samsung phone always have an issue comes out after a year...the after latest update...their phone is to expensive...and the cheapest one is always have ghost touch and not in good performance..
