Unfortunately, in order to take advantage of WiFi 7, both the router and the device it's connecting to will require WiFi 7-compatible hardware - which the S23 Ultra is not.

Is it true that Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra has the Qualcomm FastConnect 7800 modem? Qualcomm mentions here that the device has that modem...

Last time I checked FastConnect 7800 does have Wi-Fi 7 support.

If Qualcomm's statements are true what's the real reason Wi-Fi 7 isn't enabled on the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra even though the hardware supports it?

Maybe if it was enabled the adapter would continually search for it, and seen as it wasn't available it would drain the battery?

 Not sure about your source but the S23 ultra has a qualcom chip that is Wi-Fi compatible....or is chat GPT and other sources lying?

So, thats a lie, that S23 does have WiFi-7 compatible hardware. Samsung just chooses not to activate it on "older" phones.

I'm a long time Samsung user, if future updates do not activate this, this will be be last samsung product "EVER!".

Hello mystrus_90, you are completely correct, the S23 Ultra and S24 Ultra both use Qualcomm® FastConnect™ 7800 Mobile which is Wifi 7 capable.

Samsung deliberately doesn't want to enable Wifi 7 on the S23 Ultra series to get customers to buy their new phones, while openly stating it's 'incapable' of Wifi 7.

To me, this is a reason to never buy a Samsung phone again in my life.

I agree! The phone is compatible with WiFi 7 but they choose not to implement it so we will buy a new phone! Let’s not buy anymore Samsung phones!
