Galaxy SHi, I really like a exclusive phone color for S23 Ultra, but I am hesitant to buy.
A acquaintance of mine bought the S22 in an online exclusive color when it was first released and there was an issue with it and apparently it wasn't covered under her warranty cos it was considered to be 'customised' and thus void.
Personally, if i had to go thru that, I'd rather just buy in a regular color. Also, i heard there was a devaluation regarding the trade-in value of the phone if its in a exclusive color for the S22. There wasnt anything like that inthe disclaimers for the S23 Ultra so I'mnot sure if it applies here. Would buying in online exclusive color affect the warranty and future trade-in value?

Hi, I don't think the colour should affect the warranty benefits, as the only difference is the colour of back glass cover. Other than that, all the parts used are exactly the same as regular colours. Just that u ever need to have the back glass cover replaced at Samsung, the time of repair will take longer than usual, probably due to no spare back glass cover available at that time.
As for the trade-in value, only the model type and storage size will be considered, any colour will be treated as the same value.
So, in my opinion, I feel that if u really like the exclusive colour, then go for it! What matters is that u like it and willing to use for a long period of time.

I don't think the exclusive colours void the warranty as its just the colour of the phone. There isn't anything different inside. Even if it was 'customised', it was done by Samsung. I have no idea why they would void the warranty for the exclusive colours.
