What do you guys think when our phone only support 1440p max video playback at youtube (if u are using 1440 screen res. ) Meanwhile iphone only fullHD plus lower resolution than samsung flagship but still capable of playing 4k video on youtube.  Any idea why?

iPhone use a different OLED which means even though at 1080p it still looks sharper than Samsung 1440p and you cant notice the pixels on the iPhone

Iphone 12 max display is supplied by Samsung Display Co. It will be weird if Samsung to supply to their direct competitor a better technology while not applying the same to their own products.

I've been using note 8 and s20+ and never find 4k option on youtube. don't know if other android phone can play 4k resolution without changing or tweak the system. except sony xperia z5 and xz premium that come with 4k screen res
