Black, flicking, green screen on z flip 4

Does anyone here experience the same? I just had an issue earlier today where my phone blacked out still functioning buttons. After some few press on power button the screen comes back then when I restarted, the one ui initated an update now the one ui is 5.1.1 but says last update was nov 23 2023. How can I fix it?

Z flip 4 is already one ui 6. I updated mine a few days ago. By the way, I also encounter the issue you have. The screen turns off whenever I unfold the device so I also tap the power to light up the screen. This seems to be a hardware issue. A cable might be loosen inside. It's not the screen since the phone works fine when not folded.

Mine is out of warranty. I never drop it nor pressure the phone. It happened to me a few days ago.

This is whats happening to me right now. Did you have yours repaired? I also updated the software last night thinking it would resolve the issue but definitely not. This phone is just 1 yr and 3 months only.

Yes I still fold it because i like folding. But I wonder if this will severe the issue. Maybe it's better not to fold it since it works really fine 100% if the screen isn't moving.


I wish samsung could repair our units free of charge since it's just 1 year and 4 months.

I also dont plan to fold it, I am thinking that it may worsen the issue. Samsung users will always be disappointed how samsung handle such fold/flip issues. We are to end up paying for the repair. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Hi. Zflip 4 will be repaired according to samsung ceo support if the service center analysis concluded that it's a manufacturing defect. This will be for free since I asked for a free repair but I haven't yet gone to service center. It's far away

I reached out to them too but did not mention the same with me. Said that I have to surrender the phone first for assessment then the case manager will escalate it to the head office. No guarantee for a free repair though mine does not have the green line yet hoping really that it will not have one until I surrender this phone on Sunday.

My zflip had the same issue but only when I fold it. It happened when my warranty was almost over. I think I got lucky to have it repaired a week before warranty expired. 🥲
