Please be aware that if you are going to get fold series phones. got mine in Jan 2023.
After 1 year and a few months, it start to give me problem. when open fully, the screen goes black and "hang"
Searched online and realise this is a common problem. It mainly caused by the fragile flexi cable.
Messaged in live chat and email them trying to ask for the price of the replacement. They just ignore and "recommend" you to bring your phone down to the service centre for checking. (There will be a charge for diagnose)
All I can say is spending a good close to 2k on a phone that last 1 year ++ is not up to my expectation. Not sure about yours but I will without a doubt avoid samsung phone at all cost.
Same as mine.been using fold 4 for a year plus.samsung after sale service is very bad.after update to ui6.1.my phone hang and now screen black.when go samsung service centre.they got the face to charge me 700plus to repair..seriously 2.5 k for a fragile phone.rather spend my money on oppo fold phone at least two year warranty free .avoid samsung phone at all cost now.even ultra series after update got green line.really bad
Tbh, the new models have worser quality of materials in them. They tend to break more commonly. I suggest not buying the flip phones from any manufacturers, and instead buy a bar phone. It's not really worth to buy a foldable phone, atleast as of now. So if you need to, U can just trade in your phone for another Samsung phone, like the s23 Fe or smt.
I too agree had same issue with my flip 4, switching off while closing the phone.. it might be time to switch to iPhone.. I think.. I had requested doorstep repair for my phone as I had bought Samsung one care plus when I bought my phone.
Happened exactly like that to my Fold3 shortly after updating to ui6.0 (used 2 yrs+). Only difference is that i caused my screen to fault when I put it on my car's AC vent; i think condensation short circuit the flexi cable.
Nevertheless, I'll still get Fold 6. iOS *** major and OneUI features are really great. I also have pixel 7 Pro for the camera (fantastic photos and zoom) but it is more buggy than OneUI.
I Boycott Samsung Fold series. Cant manufacture it properly then dont launch it. Me & my frens also use 1yr then screen start to bubble where the middle portion is. Ridiculous price for a Sub-par standard phone
