Read a post here about someone's Flip being denied warranty due to a hinge dent, which prompted me to share the following.
I choose the "shadow camouflage" print, which looks nice on a black phone.
It covers most of the hinge but there are a slight gaps at the ends
The decal makes folding slightly stiffer due to added thickness to the hinge. It will also not unfold totally flat like before

As Fold (and Flip) users are aware, the typical protective case leaves the hinge exposed. Cases that protect the hinge look bulky & ugly. Should you leave the factory installed plastic wrap on the hinge, it will eventually start to peel.
I found some hinge protectors for sale online. They appear to come as regular stickers or 3M dbrand-like decals which costs more. I tried one of the latter and found it quite decent (search IFPX on Shopee).
The above photos where taken on a Fold3 without a case on. It should work for a Fold4 too. Not sure if I would recommend a hinge decal to Fold users but it does provide some protective. The decal I received was textured, which makes the phone less slippery after the decal was applied.
On the flip side, the hinge protective makes the folding and unfolding less smooth. I also can't help but wonder if I'm inevitably damaging the internals on the Fold like the dust brushes or something else.
I'll leave the decal on my Fold for the time being. It does go nicely with my Samsung Aramid case, and looks matter to me 😂
