My galaxy flip 4 is 11 months after I bought suddenly switches off when I fold it. Recently I got an update at 22nd April after that I got this issue. Is anybody facing the same issue? I am so much disappointed in Samsung, because I have Samsung one care plus bought for 2 years for this phone.. I expect atleast this phone would work without a problem for atleast 20months. 😅. I had arranged for repair at doorstep using one care plus but if they expect me to spend money or anything it might be time to jump to iPhone eventhough i had been a samsung user for past 6 years.. sad to say..

Hi, normally if ur phone is still under warranty and is assessed to have no physical damage, they will fix without any charge. And the repair onsite, the engineer will be accommodating. I have activated my Care+ onsite repair twice and both engineers are nice people.

My flip 4 had been repaired by the service engineer.
I noticed these items during his repair..
Failt Item 1 is the display tag cable was damaged internally due to flipping as usual every day.. but not even one year passed by.

Fault item 2 is both the batteries in this phone was bulged even though it haven't past 2 years.. I think the battery quality is worse in samsung phones.. my note 20 ultra had this issue a year ago. The display and panel came apart due to bulge issue in note 20 ultra..

My takeaway from see this phone repair is
1. Don't flip too many times even though the phones name is samsung Galaxy Flip 4 😅😭
2. As the battery bulge issue, this phone some times over heats, so I can't prolong the use of camera 😥

3. Samsung care plus is a scam if we had to pay for their manufacturing defects warranty replacements. Think about the case if I had never purchased the one care plus, the second time I had to may be pay for the new display replacement they done.

My verdict is that I have never heard of any issues from iPhone users for the past 5 years like battery issues, display issues, etc.. so I think it might be time for all Samsung users to switch to iPhone or any other good android phone to get the value for their money..

I had been a samsung fan for over 6 years. I don't say everyone to switch, but deep down, all the users know there is this battery and overheating issue on their samsung premium phones.

Hi, I don't think foldables can be compared to rigid phones, as they are a complete different phone type category. Rigid phones are solid and can be rugged these days, on the other hand, foldable phones are delicate and fragile, so I don't expect my Z Fold 3 to last as long as my previous Note 10+ or my Note 5. So, yes.. it's best to always purchase additional year of Care+ coverage for foldables, it's worth it in my opinion and most of the time, the repairs don't require a fee.

Yes but there is underlying overheating issues on all Samsung phones so far I've seen.

I would say models before 2023, are heat monsters. 2023 models and newer have better heat management and the Snapdragon chipsets are now made for galaxy.
