Green line on samsung z flip 3

Hi everyone!

My phone suddenly showing a green line. I've restarted and resetted the phone to the fsctory setting however the issue persists. Anyone has the same issue as me? The screen is still functioning but it is a bit annoying with the green line.

Hi, Welcome to the club. Mine started with a green line, give it some time the screen will stop waking up soon. My advise is backup all your data now and best to switch your daily driver to another phone, once the screen goes dark you will never get the chance to recover anything since screen replacement at service center will mean deleting all data.

Ooo i see. May i know how much is the cost of the repair?

it is MYR1350 for parts and labor is between 50 to 100. Which is not really feasible unless there is sentimental value to the phone.

Woah so expensive. Tq so much for the info. I've read somewhere that even after repairing the screen, the green line will reappear again. So, i think it is better to use that amount of money to buy a new phone. Thanks again @Alantris for ur comment.

Mine is on the 2nd screen and it lasted me a good 6 months maybe hahaha... So i'm waiting to see what improvement is done on the Flip 5. Problem is, the flip doesn't fold close, that gap between the screen right at the crease where all the microfibers, lint, dirt, grit, from your pocket or bag can easily get inside and wreak havoc to the sensitive screen.

So this green line keeps bothering samsung users. Make me think twice now to upgrade my phone with another samsung.

I believe it is due to the missing dust protection for the foldables, they need to improve dust ingress protection where it matters. I am pretty sure the foldable screen itself can be folded thousands of times without fail if it moves the way it is supposed to. Even a speck of dust can divert how it moves and that could be the one causing these issues.
