try connecting to a different wifi to make sure your phone itself isn't the problem. if it still doesn't connect you should have it check.

Before you try out the below recommendations as to your solution, be sure to check if your device's software are updated with the latest version. Please check how to update your mobile device's software in the following order.

Step 2. Tap on Download and install

Step 3. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Clear Cache Partition.

Step 1. Turn off your phone.

Step 2. Plug in the USB cable via PC or Type-C earphones (in case its USB-C to USB-C).

Step 3. Then press and hold Power and Volume up buttons.

Step 4. Release the power button. When the recovery screen shows up, release the volume up button.

Step 5. Navigate to and select Wipe cache partition (Volume up and down is for highlighting options and power is to select).

Try these steps to ensure a seamless network connection in your Galaxy smartphone.

*Certain locations may offer weak signals, in such cases try moving to another area that has better signal strength.

All steps followed, and my Fold 3 still will not switch WiFi on.

Yes I visited a Samsung service center, but was told potentially it would take 10 days to check and repair ... which due to travel is impractical.

All I haven't tried is a factory reset, which I assume is first thing a Samsung service center woukd try.
