I bought a Samsung Fold 4 last September 2022 from Globe Philippines. After just 4 months of use, the unit's folding screen failed to function. Ony the external screen remained useful. Samsung repaired my unit by replacing the folding screen at that time.

Unfortunately, the folding screen suddenly failed again last October 12, 2023. This failure comes at just 10 months of use after the folding screen was replaced. For a device whose price is more than 100,000 pesos, it is unconscionable to have such poor quality. It is also unacceptable that Samsung would not cover the repair of the said faulty device. Clearly, there is something inherently flawed about the product considering that its folding screen only lasts less than a year of regular and careful use.

I would like Samsung Philippines to cover all the repair costs of the unit considering the history of my device.

Greetings,
I have a similar complaint about the Samsung Galaxy Z4 Fold phone. I purchased my phone through Globe, our network provider for about $2,000 USD in the Philippines. After 10 months of service, I started to hear a cracking noise when opening the fold phone. Shortly afterwards the inner screen protective layer started bubbling in at the fold. Within a couple of days, I had a black line at the fold and the inner screen stopped working.
Since I purchased the phone through Globe, I took the phone to Globe who examined the unit and found no damage to the outer casing and informed me that the phone was under a 1 year warranty and directed me to return the phone to the Samsung Service Center for warranty repairs.
I took the phone to the Samsung Service Center who received the phone and then stepped outside in the parking lot for about 15 min to examine. They then returned and informed me that there were damages to the phone's outer casing and the warranty was void. I argued the point and was told that they would forward the phone to the service technician for his evaluation. When I gave the phone to the Service Center only the inner screen was damaged and the outer screen was functional.
I wrote letters to the CEO/President of Samsung and the Manager of the Service Center explaining that the unit had never been dropped and was in good condition except for the well-documented company defect of the inner screen fold. The Service Manager scheduled me a meeting at the Service Center I delivered the phone to discuss my options for the service. When I arrived at the Service Center the agent handed me my phone and stated that they understood I do not wish to have my phone serviced. When I received the phone, I tested the phone and found that both the inner and outer screens were non-functional. I took the phone back to Globe who suggested that I take the phone to an independent service technician to evaluate the problem with the phone.
I took my phone to a reliable service technician who video-tapped the inspection process and found that the outer screen was disconnected and 2 parts of the phone were missing. He prepared a statement of inspection stating that the Samsung service technician was either incompetent or more likely sabotaged the phone to increase the cost of repairs. Since then I received communication from Globe that Samsung is not willing to pay for repairs of my phone.
As a final recourse, I have no option except to file a Class Action suit against Samsung and Globe for supporting the sales of a phone with a known defective background just to increase sales.
If there are any current class action suits against Samsung in the Philippine area I’m willing to add my name as one of the complainants.

I also have a similar problem. The main inner screen just stopped working. There should be a class action suite filed against Samsung for selling a defective phone.

The worst phone ever. Never buy a Samsung fold or flip. They will not honor their design flaws.

Yes this is a Major design flaw on their part. I've been an avid-user of Samsung mobile phones which my outdated phones lasted for at least 3years, until this fold series came which is a disgrace to Samsung reputation. My fold 4 only lasted for a year. Very disappointing... My wife's fold 4 and my Sister-in law's flip phone also has the same issue which prompt the to switch to Apple's iphone.

Worst phone ever. My phone fold 4 broke down twice, within the warranty period with the same screen problem but Samsung refused to replace it. My wife also had the same issue. Samsung Customer Service is the worst
