It just randomly appeared while I was watching tiktok videos. I guess this might just be the first and last samsung phone after 2 years. Any reason why? I googled and many said it's the result of system update.
Might make more sense to get a new Google or iPhone than spending money on repairs?
Hi, from what I read online is that during the update, ur phone heats up a lot and the overheat may have damaged partial of the LCD cable, but this theory doesn't coincide with why this issue doesn't happen during gaming with the temperature of the phone going much higher.
Currently, there is this pick up and repair service for all foldables, till 31st Aug. U may check with them whether u can reject the repair, after they require u to pay for the repair cost. But worth a try. Cos I believe Samsung acknowledges this defect, if not why this time round Z Flip 5 and Z Fold 5 have 1 complimentary screen repair for Care+.
Have the same issues and went to samsung service center. Since one year warranty is over, they ask for $429 to repair. Sad to admit this will be my first and last samsung phone.
