I bought my z fold 4 in Nov 2022 and enjoyed it a lot. Then in may '23, it would not open all the way. Looking online seems to be a common issue, so I went to samsung repair center. They said they will fix it under warranty, I was happy to hear that, so all good. Now in Feb '24, the same thing has happened again. Went back to service center they want 17,000 THB (500 USD++) to repair as they need to change the whole screen again (even though the screen works fine). If Samsung makes a defective product, they basically want the consumer to pay to fix it. You pay so much for these devices and the attitude is of no-care. I have called and written every where but no one can provide a fair resolution. If they would give me another year warranty I will pay the amount but the warranty on repair is 3 months so it might break after 4 months and I am doomed.

Not sure anyone from Samsung can look into this topic. If this is all samsung is willing to do, I would suggest to not buy fold/flip phones as the price point doesn't justify having a phone for just over a year and then have to basically throw it away and buy a new one. Its unbelievable!

Thst's bssically the reason why i dont want flip and fold, durability issues. Imagine how many times you will flip or fold that phone, the middle link of the screen will definitely not lasts long. That is why i prefer S ultra. Im sorry for your bad experience.

I tell you no! Dont buy it! From my experience, zfold 4 is already a junk. Unless, i pay samsung almost 50% of the phones worth just to get it fixed.

I also have Flip4 and the screen started giving issues on area where it folds, next to the hinge. I took it to Samsung and they thankfully replaced it under warranty as there was no physical damage. But when I picked up the phone from Samsung after the repair, I noticed that the screen doesn't open all the way. When I asked the technician why it doesn't open all the way, they acted as if it's normal.  He even brought another Samsung Flip phone which they repaired and it also did not open all the way. Yet when I compared with a new Flip 6, I can clearly see the new phone opens all they way and mine doesn't. Samsung gave me the same don't care attitude.  I regret buying this overpriced phone and will never buy a Samsung again.
