Should I enable fast charging first before I can enable pause USB PD charging when gaming?

Honestly, I am not sure, but you can try.

It is better to have it turned on than to play games using only battery power. My S25 heats up when playing games using only the battery.

Yes, you need PD charging to use that. I think incompatible SFC 2.0 chargers would disable bypass charging, too.
