Since One UI 2.0, Samsung’s Game Plugins offered useful tools for customizing game performance. But with the One UI 7 update, many of these features were moved into Game Booster Settings—like resolution, FPS, and performance profiles. Priority Mode was also migrated to Modes and Routines under "Game Mode," which you now have to set up manually. While that works, it would’ve been better if Samsung kept everything inside Game Booster for easier access, since many users were already used to managing settings from there.

What I really miss is PerfZ, which showed real-time FPS, CPU load, and temperature while gaming. Unfortunately, I can’t seem to get it working on One UI 7, as it’s no longer officially supported.

For anyone's curious this is how it looks like:

And this is how it looks like when you play a game:

In One UI 7, Samsung introduced a new Good Lock module called Game Booster+, which seems to be the spiritual successor to the old Game Booster Plus (previously part of the Game Plugins suite). It’s now merged into the Good Lock ecosystem, but the current features still feel limited—especially for midrange devices.

From what I’ve seen, some advanced options may only be available on flagships like the Galaxy S25 series. Here's a screenshot from my Galaxy A56, which shows the current state of the module on a non-flagship device:

In future updates, I truly hope the Good Lock team considers bringing back the PerfZ overlay feature into the new Game Booster+ module. It was such a useful tool for monitoring FPS, CPU load, and temperature in real-time during gameplay—something many of us appreciated. I’m not sure if the Good Lock team will see this post, but I do hope Samsung PH can take note of this feedback and pass it along. A lot of users, especially those who game on midrange devices, would really benefit from having PerfZ back.
