Hope can extend to mobile phones as well so that we can keep our belove Samsung phones longer as nowadays we have 4 years of OS update and 5 years of security patch...

Samsung doesn't know whether we bought a new tv or not. Must have very screw up records or a marketing ploy.

Prolly applies to customers who bought off electronic chains like Harvey Norman, courts etc, Samsung would not have the records if customers did not register directly through them.
