Faulty online system and rewards points

Tried to purchase S23U 512GB on launch night. Struggled with the system for almost 2hours and the purchase couldn't go through.

Eventually I found out that the purchase failed because i was logged in as samsung member. I had to log out and then my purchase went through.

So i submitted my request to award me back my member rewards points but they called me to tell me the request was rejected since i didnt login before my purchase.

Nowadays even miles can be clocked after the flight. And my purchase was using the same email. I really think Samsung members and support and online systems has a long way to go vs their competitors. Disappointing team.

Hi, in this case, I would suggest u write an email to them. Often, emails will be handled by more experienced staff. I normally write emails, when my Samsung Pay points are wrongly deducted, etc.

wrote liao。first one the support ignored. 2nd one is the post purchase survey. They responded to that but only to call me to say they tried but request failed. Roll eyes 🤣

Any luck in the meantime? I just pre-ordered the S23 Ultra without realising that I wasn't logged in. I checked with support, but understood that it's not possible to award the points when having placed an order without logging in. Strange that the points cannot be manually assigned. The sad thing is that my order in the Samsung shop is registered under the email address I use for my members account, so all info to award me the points is there.

same here and nope i gave up. Not desperate for the points haha. Was already considering to switch back to Apple and i guess such service is a sign to switch back next year 🤣

Haha yah i was the 2nd feb 2am gang. Saw through hardwarezone forum that have to log out samsung member acct for the purchase to go thru
