Incomplete photo sync from Samsung Gallery sync

Hi, I have this problem, where I recently took photos that, when synced to my tablet, does not complete loading. Don't worry, the photos are safe in OneDrive. The problem looks like this in Samsung Gallery: a gray cloud with a tick or check mark inside:

image
Three synced images from Gallery sync, with two images unavailable for viewing

I tried clearing the media storage apps I could find on this tablet, but it didn't fix the problem. I turned Gallery sync on the tablet off and on again and it didn't work either. Not even a restart fixed it.

Does anyone know how to solve this? Besides, well, replacing the use of this app entirely?
Downloading the gray photos I want is a limited workaround because this tablet only has 32 GB total space.

Mahina ang internet connection kapag ganyan ang lumalabas sync, mas maganda back up ng photos and videos ang googles photos, kahit ilang taon andoon pa rin sila.

Oh wait, I tested a workaround that makes the downloading useful.

I kept a local copy of my camera roll in one of my devices' synced folders, i.e. Camera/, then turned off Sync with OneDrive on those devices. I open the Samsung Gallery on a device that's still syncing, and inside each folder with synced content delete all the gray photos I could find, or if you have to, all the files in the folder (a function which you can't find in OneDrive or even Google Photos). No need to empty the trash.

I then manually sync the device's gallery, and check if OneDrive trashed the photos I deleted as well. Then under a better connection I turned on Gallery Sync on all my devices to sync again. No locally stored photos got deleted, and the tablet got to fully load the online gallery this time.

Next time I should use an SD Card for the backup part though. But this gray tick cloud should have an option to try syncing again next time. To add, before the beginning of this post, I did try pressing the manual sync in the settings, but the unavailable photos never went away, even after an app restart with a recently cleared app cache.

And 1 thing pala, you can easily edit the video on googles photos, kapag magalaw ang video pwede i stabilize, cut or filter pwede din, tulad nitong nasa baba,
