Greetings. I just saw that my A52 5G's ultra-wide camera had lost its lens cover. Not a lens protector - the actual glass cover. Can you recommend where to get it replaced? Thank you very much.

Hi EWS91!

Oof, sounds like a biggie. You can get your phone repaired at a Samsung Service Center, and they can easily replace lost parts (as long as the part is in stock.) But since the A52 5G is a pretty popular model, most of our Service Centers should have spare parts in stock for your device.

Hope you get it replaced asap - we don't want anything scratching up your lens!

Hello. Thanks for your replies. I was able to speak with the Service Center at SM North and they said that they would need to replace the entire back casing. I asked if they couldn't just replace the lens cover and they said no. The full phone back cover is Php1,800 and Php700 for labor. They'd have to order the part though, as they don't have it on hand.

Ooof - i think it's because the back panel for the A52 5G is installed as a single piece. A bit tough, but the repair cost doesn't seem so bad! You'll probably also get a reapplication of your adhesive, refreshing your phone's water resistance too 😄

You going through with the repair?

Yes. The phone is in pristine condition and runs well, as I am meticulous with caring for my things, so I will take the Php2,500 hit to preserve it. Just flummoxed at how the lens cover even disappeared since I haven't dropped the phone, or put anything heavy on it, or tinkered with it. No idea how, when, why, and where it happened 😞.

Glad to hear it. As for the lens cover popping off, it could be due to any number of reasons, but many of these reasons are due to normal wear and tear. As careful as we may be, smartphones may still be subject to unseen impacts from being in a pocket / bag. Smartphones have tons of moving parts after all, and it's not uncommon for some things to just... well, fail. Luck of the draw, I guess?

I'm sorry I can't be anymore help from this end, but I do hope you go through with your repair and get your device as soon as possible. Please let me know if you have an update for us! Thank you 🙏
