Hello I'm new here and I just recently bought Samsung Galaxy M12.
I have a SD card inserted but I don't see any option in the settings to make the SD card a default storage. Which if you save photos/videos from social media it will be saved in the SD card.
Is it impossible to do that in this phone?

I think there is no option to make sd card as default when saving photos/videos on social media (correct me if I'm wrong). If you want to save your photos/vidoes on social media in your sd card, you need to move them from internal storage to sd card via My Files app.

i think once you insert the card, there will be a pop up if you'd want to save your pictures there moving forward.

Oh I see, I think I didn't notice a pop up but I'll try to re-insert my SD card again.

i wouldn't recommend transferring files from phone to sd card. tried it a week ago and lost the whole album. it only shows a broken icon per photo. 😭 ill be trying a usb c type to save my files. hopefully it will go smoothly this time. 🤞

As for your concern, we do not recommend making the SD Card your default storage especially if you intend to use it to install applications. Though you may use it as storage for other multimedia files such as photos, videos, music, etc...

Hope this helps! 😊

You can't. But you could transfer app data from internal to external storage.
