It doesn't works while the other one is on wifi and the other one is offline / without wifi or data...

My mom's phone is near me and it is offline, I've tested out that it doesn't get detected even it was near me while I'm on wifi, not surely about with Mobile Data. Smartthings wasn't able to do anything either, it only shows the last location it was sended by "Spotted by a Nearby Galaxy Device" while it was offline 3 hours ago, so my assumption is, that phone is using a mobile data. And while my device wasn't able to send the location of my mom's device even it was only near me..

Did you check on device Settings. May be there are some application button that does not press on. Kindly check connectivity application on your device. Also check if the device Android is updated.

Hello KillLaKill,

Samsung Cares.

Please find below possible Reasons and Solutions to check and rectify.

Possible Reasons:

1) Outdated Software Updates.

2) Weak/Low Network Coverage signal.

3) Weak Router Signal.

4) Apps settings.

Possible Solutions:

1) Update to the latest Software Updates.

2) Call the Network Provider to check the status of signal in your coverage area.

3) Check/Adjust Router Device Settings and signal to boost locations tracking. Samsung Galaxy devices must use the same Wi-Fi to connect.

4) Find out the latest on Samsung’s Find My Mobile feature by clicking the below link. (https://findmymobile.samsung.com/#home

Hope your problem gets solved.

Note :

Due to privacy concerns, Samsung isn't offering Offline finding by default in the Find My Mobile app. You have to dive into the app's settings to turn it on. Samsung is reportedly sending notifications to Galaxy owners and users of the Find My Mobile app, letting them know the app has been updated.
