OthersSamsung isn’t the only smartphone manufacturer to have hosted a device launch event this month. Oppo and OnePlus have unveiled a couple of brand-new devices themselves, and while Samsung fans were busy learning everything about the new Galaxy A series, other smartphone users who aren’t in Samsung’s camp were looking at the Oppo Find X3 and the OnePlus 9 Pro with interest.
The company is looking to expand its clientele
Even though they come from different brands, both the Oppo Find X3 and the OnePlus 9 Pro have virtually the same display. It’s an LTPO AMOLED panel with HDR10+ capabilities, 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, 1300 nits of peak brightness, and a 6.7-inch diagonal with a resolution of 3216 by 1440 pixels.
Samsung Display has reportedly confirmed yesterday that it is the panel supplier for both phones, and Oppo even commented on the fact that Samsung’s LTPO AMOLED solution has allowed it to reduce power consumption in the Oppo Find X3 by up to 46%.
Meanwhile, Samsung Display claims that it is looking to supply more global smartphone manufacturers with OLED technology moving forward, though it hasn’t revealed who its next client might be.
