The Samsung smartphone business bounced back last year, with the highest-ever shipments. In an attempt to continue the upward trajectory, the South Korean giant has been on a roll this year with back-to-back smartphone launches. It has already announced the flagship Samsung Galaxy S21 series, Galaxy F52, Galaxy M12, and a bunch of other offerings. Rumours are rife that Samsung has lined up a handful of more upcoming mobile phones to launch in 2021 globally as well as in India. The ones that we know so far include Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3, Samsung Galaxy A21, Samsung Galaxy F52, and Samsung Galaxy Jump. This article looks at what these upcoming Samsung mobile phones will bring to the table, based on the rumours and leaks on the web.

Samsung Galaxy Jump is believed to be the rebranded version of the Samsung Galaxy A32 5G, which has not been launched in the handful of markets, including India, yet. The Samsung Galaxy Jump specifications are said to be pretty much the same as the Galaxy A32 5G, except for a few things. The rebranded Jump will reportedly pack 6GB RAM instead of 8GB and slightly lower display resolution. The phone could be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 720 chipset, which consists of two high-power Cortex-A76 cores six Cortex-A55 cores, coupled with an ARM Mali G57 MC3 GPU and 5G modem. It’s likely to be paired with up to 128GB of storage. The handset may also ship with 720 x 1,339 HD+ resolution display, 13MP selfie camera, and 64MP quad camera setup at the back.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 will be a follow-up of last year’s Galaxy Z Fold2, a report suggests. The handset is likely to tout the same book-like formfactor, with a large display that folds horizontally on the inside and a cover display, as its predecessor. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 specifications remain unknown at the moment, but we are speculating it to be a 5G offering with flagship chipset ticking at its core. Keep watching the space for more updates.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 is another foldable smartphone the South Korean manufacturer has reportedly been working on. It’s said to be dubbed as Z Flip 3, since the Galaxy Z Flip 5G is considered a second-generation Galaxy Z Flip. The upcoming Samsung mobile phone may come in 4G and 5G versions. Reports suggest that Samsung will position the new Z Flip as a budget flagship that will help the brand to expand its market share in the new category. Other details such as Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 specifications and design remain under the wraps at the moment.

Other Samsung smartphones in development

Besides the phones mentioned above, Samsung is silently working on a double-folding phone. This could be the third foldable smartphone from Samsung in 2021. Though speculations are rife that Samsung is killing the Note series officially, a recent report suggests it is silently working on a new Note series (Galaxy Note 21?).

Samsung Galaxy A22 is said to be the cheapest 5G offering in 2021. The phone is likely to launch soon with MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC that comes with a 5G modem built-in. The Samsung Galaxy A22 5G specifications are also tipped to include triple rear cameras, with a 48MP primary sensor, 6GB RAM, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and an edge-to-edge screen that will bear a V-shape notch atop. The upcoming Samsung smartphone will reportedly run One UI 3 with Android 11 out of the box. It is said to be available in two storage options and four colour variants, Gray, White, Light Green, and Violet. There is no word on Samsung Galaxy A22 5G price in India yet.

Samsung Galaxy F52 launch is also expected to be just around the corner. The phone is also said to be a 5G offering. Unlike the Galaxy A22 5G, the Galaxy F52 will reportedly rock Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G SoC under the hood. The phone will come with 8GB RAM, per Google Console listing, but we expect to see more RAM variants on offer. Samsung Galaxy F62’s alleged renders suggest that the phone will sport a punch-hole display. The display may feature an FHD+ (1080×2009) resolution. Software-wise, the Upcoming Samsung mobile phone could run Android 11-based One UI 3 out of the box. As per the TENAA listing spotted earlier this month, the Samsung Galaxy F52 5G packs a 4,350mAh battery and measures 164.63mm × 76.3mm × 8.7 mm. The 3C certifications before it revealed the phone supports 25W fast charging. Other features include dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth V5.1. That’s all the information we can divulge at the moment!
