What if we could set separate wallpapers for portrait and landscape modes?

Then I guess I could center this map to fill the screen on portrait

And on landscape too

Or just use totally different photos on each screen orientations. 

And what if we could pin the favorite apps (currently at the bottom of the screen) to either left or right near the thumb, or top if you want, when on landscape (or portrait)?

While it's far from an actual feature, there's an app on the Play Store that kind of does what you want to do - after jumping through a few hoops, that is.
