WhatsApp is rolling out a new privacy feature calledChat Lock that will let you hide any chats behind a locked folder. It can only be accessed with your device passcode or biometrics; provides an extra layer of security to your chat history.
Once a chat is locked, notifications from that thread are also hidden. Chat Lock works for both individual and group chats, you can activate it by tapping on the chat you want to hide and selecting the lock option.To reveal hidden chats, all you have to do is pull down your inbox and enter your passcode or biometric.
WhatsApp will gradually roll out Chat Lock globally, and it may take a few weeks for everyone to get the update.
