wait until march next year for the A36 or A56. by then, you'll have more options. either go for the latest A models or the last gen A series at much lower prices.

If you're point of comparison is specifications primarily, the Galaxy S23 FE is the better choice between the 2.
That's like having to compare any S series to an A series and the only real advantage of the A series is price.
At the end of the day, the processing chip on the S23 FE is flagship grade whereas the A55 is midrange.

How about the battery? I heard some of them saying the S23 FE drained fast

Battery life can be a subjective topic.
Previously I had a Galaxy S21 FE which had a relatively bigger battery than the flagship itself but that drained fast.
Reason being is, the configuration on how I wanted it to be.
So this just depends on your usage and how you set up the device.
The Galaxy A55 will obviously use less battery simply because it is a midrange device. Flagship phones tend to use more resources because of the power needed to make everything run smoothly which gives you the flagship feels.
