Get ready for the Y2K Music Challenge! It’s not just about remembering old songs, it’s about recognising them through emojis, and sharing the one song (from any era!) that brings your favourite memories to life.
Members, show off your Y2K knowledge and take us on a nostalgic journey through the songs that mean the most to you.
What’s the challenge?
This challenge has two parts:
First, guess the song titles of iconic Y2K hits* from a series of emoji sequences below:
*For this part, we’ve even dropped a few clues—hint, hint—the artist’s name and year of release next to the emojis are there to jog your memory!
Second, pick any one song (it doesn’t have to be from the emoji sequences) that takes you back to your younger days and brings back your favourite memory—then share that song and memory with us!
How do I participate?
- Review the emoji sequences and guess the six song titles they represent.
- Choose any song from the years 2000 to 2008 that brings back memories of your younger days, and share why it's special to you in a few sentences.
- In one comment, submit:
- Your six guessed song titles from the emoji sequences.
- The title of the song you've chosen and the memory it evokes.
- Add the hashtag #Samsung4eva to your comment.
- The top 5 submissions with the most number of likes on the Samsung Members App will each win a prize.
