Free Microsoft 365 for Pre-Order

I have pre-ordered Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra from a telco (Globe).

Has anyone tried to redeem or successfully redeemed the free Microsoft 365 for 1 year?

If yes, how? 

If no, have you reached out to any authorized representative and what did they say?

Hoping we can redeem this great promotion asap.

I used their online support chat (samsung.com/ph). They are expecting that the free Microsoft 365 shall appear on the Benefits tab of Samsung Members. Since I confirmed that it's not, they filed a report and told me they'll provide feedback via email. I haven't received any email from them yet.

What happens after a year? If you have One Drive files that exceed the quota?

Hello, @dulber. I'm not familiar with this issue. I assume there will be answers online as to what Microsoft will do once your license is expired with regards to OneDrive. My guess is that MS will give you grace period before they may delete / make those files inaccessible.

BTW, have you successfully redeemed the free MS 365 from the pre-order stage?

I have not availed of it, as well. I have a really old Microsoft account that harks back to the pre Hotmail days. I used to have 12TB free storage until MS did away with them. I've been subscribed since 2014 I think with a family plan.

They will not delete your files if you have not renewed your M365 license. You won't be able to upload files anyway once you've hit your storage in OneDrive without adding more storage.

Follow up on this thread. I messaged the official Globe Telecom in Messenger. They told me that the freebie MS 365 for 1 year is for Globe Business postpaid plans as opposed to my regular consumer plans.

I don't believe them because there is no disclaimer in their online store. I'll get back to them one of these days.

Whoa! That's lame. Why offer to business especially if those have enterprise accounts.

Went with the Customer Service and told me that the Microsoft 365 subscription will arrive in 30-60 days like, come on.
