android auto dark mode

Has anyone experienced android auto being stuck in night mode since the beta 3 release? A bunch of my AA issues were fixed but this is something new I think. It's not major (better than being stuck in bright mode while driving at night) but it used to switch automatically before.

I believe it's mostly determined by the vehicle.

Please try clearing the system cache and rebooting your device.

if you go into developer AA options you pick if you want the head unit or the smartphone to control it

thanks... lost the developer options when the AA shortcut disappeared with android 10. I installed the new AA for Phones app and set up developer options there. seems to have fixed it
