when I had my unlocked note 8 I usually got the updates before any of the carrier locked phones,I would receive the updates the same time as france.so saying unlocked phones are usually last is just a assumption to lol

as far as beta goes, when the stable version starts rolling out, unlocked devices THAT ARE PARTICIPATING IN BETA are usually the last to get it.
