Is anyone else having issues downloading the Disney plus app? It says is isn't available on my device

same thing here as well, I'm hoping it's something on Disneys end, because the app didnt appear on my TV until later on in the morning, so maybe they're still refining it? I see some Samsung owners can get it easily and some cant

I also believe it may have to do with being in a Beta program

similar to Netflix not being available and Google Pay not working. Beta versions of Android are not Google certified yet so alot of streaming apps block install to prevent piracy.

Beta is not "Google certified" so DRM apps won't be compatible cause they think you are trying to bypass their security.

is there any way to fix it? I use the other streaming services without issue.

you can't fix it. it will work when beta is over as it will be certified, but you can look for the app on apkmirror and download it that way

You have to download the apkpure app and then install from there click on my name and see DISNEY PLUS INSTALLED
