Feature for Facebook updating

I know this has been asked a lot but the search feature doesn't work and it's very annoying, How do I get rid of the feature for Facebook updating notification

uninstall/reinstall fb app

my FB app you can't UNinstall, just disable or reenable. I did that and have been having this issue since build 3

if you select it in the play store you should have an option to uninstall

only fixed for a little bit.., mine started again

I noticed mine has been doing the same thing since this evening. I did an uninstall slash disable (system app, which also **bleep**) and re install plus reboot and it came back when attempting to post a 3D photo which I can no longer do as it prompts that download and the app goes no further.
