Hi, everyone.
I had been using the native Samsung email app for quite a while on all of my previous devices because I like the look of it, it doesn't show ads, plus it has a nice dark mode.
However, since Gmail dark mode is now supported,I thought I would give it a try instead.

Here's the problem:
No matter which settings I tried (making sure it wasn't a sleeping app, allowing pop-up notifications, ugh you name it) I received ZERO notifications from Gmail.
So, I switched back to Samsung email again.

Anyone else experiencing this? I haven't used Gmail in a long time so it may have been a known issue before the beta testing.
Thanks!

And yes I sent in an error report. :)

Please try clearing the system cache and rebooting your device.

If issue persists, please send us an error report with screenshots from One UI Beta App (Beta Feedback -> Send feedback-> Error Reports -> "Select Category" -> Input frequency and Description" -> Send (Top Right Icon). We appreciate your help for supporting beta program.

Yup same here. That's an issue in beta.

Same here.

I've also wiped cache and data several times.

Someone suggested turning off battery optimization for the Gmail app.

I just did it last night and I'm going to see if it's better. The 3rd update for One UI is due any moment now, maybe they fixed it since it worked on update 1, but broke on update 2.

Please make sure your file an error report on the feedback tab.

I'll check the battery optimization again, thanks!
And yes, hopefully it'll be fixed with this update, but if not well I can only assume it'll be fixed with the final one :)

I can say at least from yesterday until today, that battery optimization off for Gmail has allowed push notifications to work again.

So it may work for you.
