My screen will not go off on it's own although it is set to go off after 30 seconds of inactivity. I've noticed this is when my phone is unlocked, in an app, and any other activity. When on the lock screen the screen goes off as it is supposed to. Is this happening to anyone else?

during this time do you happen to be looking anywhere near your proximity sensor? or glancing in the direction of your camera? if you have Smart Stay on that could be why the phone could be thinking it's seeing your eyes looking at the screen and thus is leaving it on, as it should, as that's what it's supposed to do....

if in fact it is enabled and it's catching your face at all it won't turn off the screen

I do have it on but I had it on the couch next to me. I'll try and place it where my face is not visible to the sensors and see if it still does the same thing.

This happened to me as well but a reboot fixed it so far for good. I'd report the bug and reboot.

Update: I had to restart my phone a few times before it started to work. Thank you all for your help.
