SOLVED: music and most all photos gone

Anyone else?

Absolutely zero music files and 98% of photo folders and photos gone.  Yes, I did a backup prior to beta install, so not really worried.  

I even used My Files to navigate Internal and SD card ... all gone, except photos that don't matter much :)

I'll assume many other file types are gone too, such as documents.

I haven't had an issue with media/data. Everything, to the best of my knowledge, was left intact

no issues there. although, I'm unable to purchase music through Google play store

go to your sound settings, toggle to vibration then back to sound. then reboot. your music files should show up then. it's what i had to do.

Wow, this worked! Thanks sooo much. Oddly, I'm almost certain I did the same steps 5 hours ago (trying to fix sound issue). But this time it worked !

BTW After power off I booted into maint mode and did a Clear Cache Partition.
