I've noticed an annoying "feature" where you can swipe left and right at the bottom of the screen to go to the last app. Great idea except when you need to swipe on the Gboard space button to move the cursor or when you need to drag a slider on a webpage and you keep changing apps instead. I can't seem to find anything in the settings app about disabling this "feature", can anyone point me in the direction of how to disable it?
(This is not a solutuon. Just my experience.)I haven't had that problem with it. The thing is, you have to swipe quickly for the app to actually change. I don't swipe fast on the spacebar, so I haven't had that problem. Also, that feature only really works if you swipe on the very bottom of the screen. For me, the spacebar is just higher than where the "swipe zone" if you will, is. Then again, I have no way of knowing how large or small your hands are in comparison to mine, which could be why you have that problem. I swipe right on the top of the spacebar, which is probably another reason why.
2 things of note, I have gesture navigation turned on and I have the hide keyboard button turned off, so my space bar is at the very bottom of the screen, maybe ⅛" off the bottom.
Seems the activation area for the swipe to last app thing starts about halfway through the space button. If I swipe my finger to the left as slowly as possible in that activation area, it will start the animation for going to previous app.
I have been trying to make a conscious effort to use the top of the space bar, but I don't thing that's an acceptable solution. There should be an option to disable it entirely. Maybe there is already, but I haven't found it yet even with searching keywords in the settings app.
