Samsung Health vs Strava Distance

Hey folks, I've done 2 runs with the Galaxy Watch Ultra and recently found the Samsung Health and Strava distance is not the same.

On the first run, there was a very minor difference in the distance where Strava logged an extra 90m which I found acceptable.

But in a more recent run, the difference was so much more. Samsung Health logged 4.86km while Strava logged it as 5.01km.

Anyone have any idea what's going on?

I start my runs using the Action button which pulls up "My Exercises" from Samsung Health.

Lolll just curious why there's a diff if the data is being sent from Samsung Health to Strava.

Different algorithms in handling the GPS data perhaps?

Are u using strava app + samsung health app together or just samsung health synced to strava setup? Could it be the autopause feature between the 2 apps that caused the difference?

I'm guessing you are right about the algorithms. When i use my watch Ultra to start a walk exercise (also synced to strava), strava app + relive app on my S23 phone separately. the end resulted distance in strava for phone app is more than what was synced from watch. but relive's distance was much closer to Samsung health's.

Will need to put on both the Garmin and Galaxy Ultra on my next run to see how it differs when used at the same time

I'm having the same issue with my Watch 7 LTE. Sometimes is just a bit different, but others are absurd.  First I noticed when auto paused, but later I've seen it happens even without pausing. Someone knows how to fix it?
