BMW Digital Key Plus now available on selected Samsung Galaxy models

BMW Digital Key Plus uses Ultra Wideband (UWB) technology to lock or unlock BMW vehicle without taking out the mobile device from bag or pocket. Supported Galaxy smartphones include Galaxy S23+, S23 Ultra, S22+, S22 Ultra, S21+, S21 Ultra, Z Fold4, Z Fold3, and Note20 Ultra and these phones need to be running Android 13 or above and have Samsung Wallet app installed to use this function. BMW Digital Car Key Plus can be shared with up to five people, provided they have a supported Android or iOS device.

As of now, the BMW Digital Car Key Plus feature is available on its cars produced after November 2022. Certain older BMW vehicles may require a software update to activate this function.

FYI in many regions you cannot install samsung wallet (or it won't open) so this is useless in many countries (belgium, netherlands, Luxemburg among them)

Hello,

I have a Samsung S23 ULTRA and my BMW App gives me the feedback that my Smartphone is not compatible. My BMW is registred in Luxembourg (via Belgium)
After raising a support question, BMW gave me the feedback, that SAMSUNG has to authorize the usage of the Digital Key Plus function on the Samsung S23 ULTRA in Luxembourg and Belgium, which seems not to be the case yet. I cannot understand why Samsung should block the usage of the BMW Digital Key Plus Function in Luxembourg and Belgium and allow it in Germany for example.
This function is only a UWB communication between the BMW APP and the car and should not be related to any authorisation by Samsung on S23 ULTRA devices used in Luxembourg.

Could you give me a feedback on this comment please.
