On beta 4 I believe the animation still isn't as smooth as it was in beta 2. In beta 2 the it transitioned to the icon much smoother compared to beta 4.
In beta 4, basically when the animation scales back to an icon it's jittery and in beta 2 it wasn't. Hopefully it's addressed. It's much more apparent in dark mode.
