Could you please make sure that Edge Lighting will work with all third party apps? I utilize Google Messages and other various apps which are enabled under Edge Lighting but the effect only works when the screen is on. These third party apps don't have permission to basically wake the screen when it is locked in order to display the Edge Lighting notification. It works completely fine with Samsung Messages and basically all native Samsung apps. It would be gladly appreciated if it can flawlessly work with all apps. Thank you.

Edge lighting has been on these phones since launch which is 9 or 10 months. If Samsung had any intention of making edge lighting work properly it would have happened a long time ago. Edge lighting was a bad idea that Samsung seems to have abandoned.

go to settings and search edge lighting and click choose apps. Then you can pick any app that's downloaded on you phone ex. Google messeges

There are apparently third party apps that do what you want with Edge lighting but they cause a lot of battery drain.

That's not the issue, the issue is that the notification from Edge Lighting does not wake up the screen from third party apps. Only native Samsung apps have permission to wake the screen and show the Edge Lighting notification whilst the phone is locked.

Please try clearing the system cache and rebooting your device.

I have aodNotify and Edge Lighting Fix installed and both work great. I haven't noticed bizarre battery drain either. Some drain, yes, but nothing crazy. Both are in the Play Store.
